Hybrid Tire for Segway miniPRO|
Upgrade your mini with new tires and increase performance.
These oversize tires are high quality and will add 2mph to your cruise speed. I was able to install them without a tire too, but it took a lot of effort. It takes a little getting used to the change but I wouldn't go back. You won't have that annoying alarm anymore. The tread is not as quiet as stock tires but you can hear speed changes which I consider a bonus. It's well worth the upgrade, and I was able to use the stock fenders with a small modification to raise them up 3/4 inch. But if you have a kickstand it won't fit with the wider tire.
Great Tires for Segway Minilite
These tires are awesome! I had heard that the speed would be increased, but that wasn't really the case. I measured about .5 mph more hahah. Anyways, it is a much smoother ride going over bumps, rocks, and any sort of dirt. We have some dirt trails by my house and these tires actually made a big difference! Getting them on was a royal pain. I purchased C-clamps to make the tire more narrow while I used a couple pry tools to get it over the rim. They work great now though! Paying $90, including shipping, is a big higher than I would have liked but I'm always up for supporting small business. Thanks More4Mini!
Hybrid tire problem
The tires look and perform fine but one of the tires developed a large bubble where the sidewall meets the tread after only a few minutes of riding.
Much Much better
The hybrid tires are perfect! I put 1200 miles on my original stock tires. they worked good on smooth paved surfaces. now i can cut right through the yard to get the mail. much more stable. I feel it makes it less like a toy, and more like a usable tool. Make sure you get the fenders for hybrid. And changing the tires is not too hard. use silicone spray to get the old off, and put the new on. I am ordering a set for my wife's mini.
I am very pleased with the hybrid tires. I inflated them a little soft as I go over choppy terrain Mini Pro has been a great addition to my business as I would cover an average of fifteen miles on a Saturday, now I ride after five miles. Always ride mindfully.
